Saul is the co-owner of Underwater Safaris and has been diving since 1968. He is a PADI Master Instructor, with numerous Specialty Instructor ratings, and a certified repair technician for nearly a dozen manufacturers. Saul has logged over 2,000 dives around the globe.
Marianne is the other co-owner of Underwater Safaris and, like Saul, has been diving since 1968 and teaching since the mid-1980s. In 2001, Marianne was inducted into the Women Divers’ Hall of Fame. Marianne has logged over 3,000 dives around the world.
General Manager Jason Preker has been diving since age 12 and working in the dive business since age 15. A Master Scuba Diver with multiple specialty ratings, Jason has dived everywhere from local quarries to the Caribbean and Pacific. He particularly likes matching customers with whatever is the best possible equipment for them.
Learning to dive wasn’t as easy as you might think for Jean. Mask clearing, in particular, was a challenge. But Jean persevered, and believes that, if she can do it, anyone can. (Jean is now an instructor.) Jean both teaches and works the sales floor. And, if you want to stay warm under water, she is the person to ask.
