How Much Does it Cost?

Pricing is as follows:

5 days, 4 night trip $575 (land only) double occupancy.

Deposit and “balance due” requirements are:

$250 due at sign up
Balance is due 60 days prior to departure.
No refunds after the “balance due” date unless we can find someone to take your place.

Round-trip air fare to and from Cozumel.
Airport/hotel transfers.
Recompression and trip insurance.

All scuba equipment except tanks and weights which are provided.

With PADI eLearning, learning to scuba dive has never been more convenient. Whether you are on the go, or just want to take it slow, now you can complete the academic portions of several PADI courses including Open Water, Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, even Divemaster and Instructor courses!

It combines text, photos, illustrations, charts, graphs, animations and live-action video in a way that makes learning easy and fun.

As it is all done over the Internet, you can learn when and where it is convenient, moving along at your own pace (not someone else’s).
You can start whenever you want. (Now would be a good time.) There is no need to wait “until the next class begins.” It begins whenever you are ready.
Instructional design experts agree: Computer-based learning programs are, by far, the single most effective way for students to master academic concepts. (The fact it is clearly the most fun way to do so is simply a bonus.)

How Does it Work?

You start by logging on to PADI’s eLearning website. There you will be able to sign up and pay for the eLearning portion of the course using any major credit card (fees vary by course and are in addition to the fees charged by Underwater Safaris).
The programs themselves are very easy to use, and can be mastered by students as young as 13 (Internet privacy laws prohibit use by students 12 and under).
When you are ready, you take part in any of our convenient academic review and (where applicable) in-water training sessions for the level of training you have chosen. However, because they master all of the necessary academics on line, eLearners get to skip most of the traditional classroom lectures our regular students must attend (although you are welcome to come, if you would like).
Prior to the first class session, you will need to schedule a one-on-one academic review and course orientation session with one of our staff. Here you will typically take a quick, 20-question quiz and go over where you need to go and what you need to do to complete the course. (This is also a good time to purchase the equipment you will need for the courses well.)

The PADI Open Water Diver Course online via the PADI eLearning website provides the knowledge development portion you need and can be done at your own pace. You develop the remaining skills by actually diving with a PADI Instructor at Underwater Safaris. Open Water Weekend classes $250.00; private classes $400.00.

PADI Advanced Open Water eLearning — $130.00 (payable directly to PADI)

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course builds on what you’ve learned in the Open Water Course and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun diving. Complete the knowledge development portion online, then contact Underwater Safaris to complete the required dives. Advanced Open Water dives with scheduled class $200.00.

PADI Rescue Diver eLearning – $130.00 (payable directly to PADI)

Learn to look for safety and well-being of others while expanding your dive knowledge with PADI Rescue Dive Online. Complete the knowledge development portion online, then contact Underwater Safaris to complete the water skills. Rescue dives with scheduled class $200.00.

PADI Scuba Tune Up eLearning — $55.00 (payable directly to PADI)

Been a while since your last dive? Refresh your dive knowledge online then head to Underwater Safaris heated pool to practice your scuba skills. Pool dive with group class $100.00; privately $150.00.

PADI Enriched Air Diver eLearning – $205.00 (payable directly to PADI)

Extend your bottom time with enriched air (nitrox). Complete the knowledge development portion online, the complete in-store training with Underwater Safaris. In store training with group class $100.00; privately $150.00.

PADI Divemaster eLearning – $205.00 (payable directly to PADI)

The first profesional level within the PADI System of diver education. The online portion of the course covers nine topics that prepare you for the practical sessions needed to complete the divemaster course. Once you’ve completed the online course, you can then complete the practical water skills with Underwater Safaris for $300.00.
