Discover Scuba Diving Experience.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breath underwater? If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it in our pool. While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

The Fun Part

There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to –after all, human beings weren’t designed to do that – but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realize how easy scuba diving really is. The biggest challenge instructors have with the Discover Scuba Diving program is not coaxing participants into the water, but coaxing them out when the program is over. The fun part? It’s all fun! You'll learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. One thing you’ll learn is that you really can breathe underwater and whether you like doing that or not.

Discover Scuba $80.00 pp

Anyone 10 years or older in reasonably good health can do the PADI Discover Scuba. 8 & 9 year olds can do “Bubblemaker”. It takes about 1 hour and starts with a briefing using the Discover Scuba Diving Flip Chart, you'll then enter the water quickly for your scuba adventure.

Cost is $80.00 pp. The Discover Scuba is based on availability of our pool and must be prepaid. You bring a bathing suit and towel, we supply everything else. Although you don't have to be a great swimmer, you do have to know how to swim and MUST be comfortable in the water.  Must also be reasonably healthy.  Please look at the medical form here.

Please remember, this is a Discover Scuba Experience and not a certification class. Once you’re hooked, your next step is the Open Water Certification Class and we’ll have plenty of information on hand for you to look through, and of course we’ll be here to answer all of your questions.
